All about
CommentSold is a complete end-to-end eCommerce platform centered around the Live Shopping experience, often sitting on top of your existing eCommerce platform (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.) or they can actually operate completely as a standalone eCommerce platform for those fully invested in Live Shopping. They are truly democratizing that “QVC” shopping experience by giving the power to any brand to stream up to 5 locations simultaneously - Facebook pages, Facebook groups, your CommentSold website, your CommentSold mobile app, and Instagram.
You can go Live and get customers to shop various products, show them the product, sell out of that product, etc. You can also highlight past Lives across your site and mobile app so that customers can better understand your product and experience before purchasing. They will eventually have picture in picture in checkout so that you don’t even have to leave the live to purchase from the brand.
When live streaming to Facebook, your customers can literally comment “Sold” plus the size, plus the color, and this initiates an automated Direct Message flow through Messenger that will take the customer through the purchase process. Or put them on hold or a waiting list if the product has already sold out.
You can set it up so that your customers can opt-in to “going live” notifications, which is absolutely huge because this is a bit of a Messenger marketing hack from the olden days - you used to be able to message your contacts in Facebook Messenger (for business) and engage them in conversations, but now you can’t do this… Unless you have a tool like CommentSold, which can send one notification a day any day that you go live on your page.
CommentSold works really well with influencers who want to showcase curated items on their live shopping feeds.
They have CommentSold Payments, Stripe, PayPal, Sezzle, and Square. With CommentSold Payments, CommentSold handles all disputed payments so your revenue is never clawed back due to fraudulent purchases.
Some companies are making $70mm/year live selling through CommentSold (and millions more coming through their Direct to Consumer website on top of the live selling).
You can put Instagram stories inside your mobile app experience.
All of your streaming sources are aggregated into one platform so that the live streamer can respond to them in real-time.
CommentSold can identify high-rollers / VIPs who you absolutely want to make sure and highlight and respond to.
They have their own SMS tool for live selling, new product launches, and post-purchase follow up.
And so much more, this truly is a very robust Live Selling platform.
What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
CommentSold was the original app to let users on Facebook literally comment the word “Sold” in order to engage in conversation to purchase products online. This was literally the dawn of live shopping. Since then, they have built a robust platform to support social selling, including unique functionality for eCommerce merchants, especially Shopify brands, but you can also sell straight on their platform and use it as a standalone eCommerce platform if you so choose.
CommentSold is all about engaging your social media fans in a way that gets them taking action and buying more from you. They increase your revenue from your social media accounts. They will also, through the process of going live and being active on social, help increase your follower count and follower growth… But they are not specifically a “follower growth tool.”
Live Shopping has been proven to 6x repeat purchase rates and significantly reduce return rates. And they are seeing an average of 15-18% of growth of brands through live shopping.
You should also see things like deeper engagement with your customers, increased conversion rates, and really all the good metrics that come from having a unique and interactive experience with your followers and customers.
Typically it’s the marketing team, the leadership team, or in small teams, you as the founder in the demo call to make sure this is the right live shopping platform for you.
You can self-serve, get setup, create your own test lives, bring in your team to test out how you would run your live shopping experience, and then go live on your site and page, all within 3-5 hours of setup.
It shouldn’t take more than 2 weeks to get setup and running, often it can be a few hours, with some shops starting their live shopping the same day they install CommentSold.
Now, you really need a special type of person to run CommentSold when it comes to selling product via Live Shopping. Who in your organization is comfortable going live on at least a weekly basis in order to showcase products and sell them live to your audience? You need a person to own this, whether it is you as the CEO or your head of marketing, or an influencer that has been working with your brand for years.
CommentSold doesn’t make customers show up out of thin air, they are better for established and growing brands that want a stronger relationship with their customers and a stronger conversion rate to those customers. They will pull a small amount of new customers through exposure on platform (Facebook, Instagram).
If you can showcase a product in a video or live setting, you can use CommentSold, whether it's selling seeds, meat, digital products, etc.
And CommentSold tends to work really well for brands in fashion, beauty, arts and crafts, outdoors, home decor, and luxury.
Some of the typical trouble categories may have issues due to platform restrictions. Things like CBD, adult, weapons, and other categories that may violate some platforms terms of service by going live. Ultimately, if you don’t have a strong social media presence or you don’t see engagement on social, CommentSold will be a less ideal solution for you.
