All about
All Axis Studio creates engaging 3D and Augmented Reality experiences to showcase on your product detail pages. Far from bloating your page size or impacting page speed load time, images are actually quite small in size, usually clocking in around the 200-300kb mark – so you can deliver a great experience across the board.
Adding the 3D images to your product pages requires a simple copy and paste of HTML code, and All Axis Studio provides detailed instructions on how to get this done on Shopify (or really any other platform.)
Their imagery will integrate with essentially any website, and they also integrate with NFT (non-fungible tokens) solutions.
When it comes to 3D images, the goal is to provide an experience as close to reality as possible. All Axis Studio 3D images really deliver here, being fully interactive, meaning your customer can push and pull, as well as zooming in and out for a better view of your products.
Pricing is based on the maximum number of live products on your store (as they have to host and display these images on your website.) The beauty of this is that if you are frequently swapping out products (for example, moving from Spring/Summer to Fall/Winter lines), the re-shooting of the products is free. They only care about the maximum number of live 3D products on the site
All Axis Studio have backend technology that improves product image speed load time via progressive loading – first loading only the 36 images needed to deliver a “generic” browsing experience. Once the user engages with the 3D image option, their browser starts downloading the 684 images required to render as medium quality (it takes about half a second for this download.) Only then do they move to downloading the high quality images, which takes between three and five seconds to download, with a standard internet connection.
All Axis Studio offers three different interactive designs that you can add to your site:
- A static image that can be dragged and zoomed.
- A rotating shot.
- A “mock up” interactive rotating shot that “explains” how to interact with the image (recommended.)
What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
All Axis Studio produces a real 3D render of your product. They don’t use AI or auto-generate the product image. This is important because this allows a deep textural context of your products for customer experience.
Other tools that use AI may produce acceptable results for flat surfaces like tables, but not for highly textural products like footwear, purses, clothes and other products that demand full “tangibility” within a digital experience.
All Axis Studio did a split test for one customer and found a 226% increase in conversion rate, as well as significantly increased time on page and decreased bounce rates.
We believe this will lead to a deeper brand engagement, lower return rates, and overall improved customer experience and happiness.
Typically it’s the Founder, the Head of eCommerce, or the Head of Marketing who is interested in using 3D images to increase conversion rate on their site. Once you understand the process, you’ll make arrangements with your team to send the desired products to their studio.
Typically it takes a few days to get up and running, and you’ll need to factor in the shipping times and costs associated with getting your physical products to their studio.
Once they have your products, it only takes 15 minutes (per product) to shoot and render the 3D image. The studio will then send you preview models for approval. The final step is to add the images to your product pages – a quick process which you can carry out yourself or accomplish in an additional developer hour.
From there on in, you’re all set – let your improved product discovery and customer experience amp up conversion rates. You don’t need to manage anything unless the product is changing design, or you choose to add new products to your store.
All Axis Studios will get the best results for visual product brands like footwear, purses and clothes. They’d also be a good fit for some consumer product goods or food brands. If you fit this category, it’s not a question of “should I add 3D models to my site?” It’s a question of “When should I invest in 3D models on my site?”
It’s worth noting that Axis Studios’ 3D models don’t currently work on ad channels, Ebay or Amazon, but they will be building towards that in the future.
