All about
levAR is currently the only Augmented Reality and 3D visualization app available in the Shopify app store. If you have a few really good product photos - 6 photos (can be from your phone) of the front, left, back, right of the product - you can get a digital representation of the product made within a week for a small cost, and then display that using their Augmented Reality widget on the site, which is generally proven to increase conversion rate.
On top of the on-site implementation of their product, you can also create social Augmented Reality filters and use them to “go viral” on Instagram and “the socials.”
What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
The really cool thing is that if you’re on desktop or mobile, you can get a “view in my space” button that will take the user over to their mobile device and then allows them to put the product into their home You really have to try it for yourself to understand, check out their website.
And after your 3D models are created, they also send over new rendered photos of the product from various angles.
The one thing you use this tool for is to increase Conversion rate. And it does that by increasing that trust and understanding of your product by making it easier for the customer to interact with it, see it from different angles, and see it in your home, garage, or office.
Secondary metrics that influence this include increased time on page and engagement on page.
You want the person setting this up to be very product focused. Often it's the eCommerce manager, CEO, or head of marketing or web. levAR has a high expectation that they will be able to create a realistic view of your product, so you want to do a deep and thorough review. For example, perhaps they only have a side angle of a screw and render a flat screw instead of a philips screw, you can fix that.
One warning is that their “View in AR” button sits in your bottom right corner. If you’ve got live chat or another type of widget in that corner, you need to move it or custom code where this button will fit.
Fully rendered products are done almost always within 1 week. Once you install the app, you decide which products you want renderings for, make sure you have at least 6 images (top, bottom, right, left, back, front) and get the team started.
An augmented reality tool is going to be for highly visual products and really any sort of physical product that a customer is going to want to interact with and really understand before buying.
Especially great for art, home goods and furnishing, and also products like shoes, dresses, etc.
Not as practical for say a beauty brand showcasing their products, however a palette might look really good with this, but probably not a lip liner. That said, their Social Augmented Reality service could be used to get the active product (not the bottle but the actual liner on face, etc.) on a user's face and get them the feel of what it would look like on them.
