AmpifyMe has two apps that fundamentally change your site to load faster.

AMP recreates pages in your Shopify theme, optimizing them to load faster. When a customer searches and you appear, you have a lightning bolt next to your page listing. When they click the page, it not only instantly loads that page, but in the background it is loading the rest of the site as well. So when a user clicks through to any other page, it will actually move to the original ("slow") site, but the customer device has already downloaded all the relevant styles and scripts in their cache so that even the slow pages appear fast.

Improving your page load speed also gets your site an SEO boost because search engines like Google will rank your store higher for its' faster load time.

PWA is really for the full site experience, allowing your site to live on a user's home screen, without the need for the native app. It offers an immersive experience that you can control, even allowing for customers to browse your site offline.

AmpifyMe has been around in the Shopify app ecosystem for a while and was built specifically for Shopify, unlike other tools. The real benefit here is in the integrations, which are crucial for "going headless" while maintaining important on-site functionalities like email capture, displaying reviews, and getting loyalty points.

The 100% focus of the AMP and PWA tools are page speed load time, which has secondary effects on lowering your cost of ads (page speed load time is a major ranking factor for all bidding algorithms). You also naturally increase time on site and number of pages viewed, and you actually should see an increase in your organic search rankings because Google favors pages that load fast or are AMP certified (the lightning bolt in the corner of the Search Engine Result).

Oftentimes the person setting this up is the head of marketing or is a designer/developer. It could be you, the solo founder/CEO as well.

You choose an AMP theme to re-implement the theme in the appropriate language. They've done this automatically for 6 themes and then a blank theme that you can customize to your appropriate theme. Works like any other theme, but they code it for AMP differently. Once you've checked the AMP version is to your liking, you turn on whichever pages you want for page speed optimization to load, and you're up and running.

Bigger brands will want to work with Ampify for a custom theme and integration build. You will have about 2 weeks of development time with back and forth to approve the launch, and all of that is included in the $499/month tier.

All stores can start using a tool for Accelerated Mobile Pages from the beginning of launching their store. Larger brands, brands with high traffic volume, and brands that have more of a mobile audience, will benefit even more from the faster page speed load times.

Some brands with custom coding or custom tools/widgets on their site may have a hard time implementing a tool like AmpifyMe without some custom development work.
