All about
Confect automates visual content for eCommerce stores, specifically for product pictures, and then pushes those visuals to your dynamic product feeds (Google and Facebook). This is perfect for dynamic retargeting ad campaigns, and really great for high SKU stores that can’t possibly do 100+ or 1,000+ SKU image creation.
With it being harder to do cookie tracking and less of an ability to send out dynamic retargeting ads, it’s more important than ever before to optimize the conversion rate on the ads that you can serve.
Confect allows you to build rules around your dynamic product ads. For example, if you’ve got a Black Friday sale coming up, you can set the product images to showcase that deal/discount across all of your product images, and run that just for that day or for that campaign.
What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
Confect is focused completely on visual designs that increase Return on Ad Spend (ROAS). It’s the dynamic nature of their templates and designs that make them super valuable. You simply set up the layout you want to use and they can create an image for each product in your library based on that layout. For example, perhaps you want a bright background, a circle with the price inside, and the logo across the top. Set that up and then publish across all your products in a few clicks. Or perhaps you want to show the review count on the product image, or the flag of the country the product originated from, or the logo of the supplier, etc.
Confect also bills based on SKU count as opposed to many of their competitors which often charge based on ad spend (which gets costly as you grow).
Most importantly, Confect increases Return on Ad Spend by improving your product imagery.
Confect is also saving you dozens (or often hundreds) of hours in working and reworking your creative across your ad campaigns - and that saves big money.
Typically your head of performance, head of advertising, or maybe the person in charge of advertising content will come in and use Confect on a regular basis to create ad campaigns and push them to your advertising channels.
To get started, you connect your product feed (an XML file or page on the site), match that data to your product assets, create and adjust designs, using their templates or custom, setup rules for displaying, check that all product images created are operating as expected, and then publish to your ad platforms. This can be done in a few minutes, but more likely you will spend an hour or two getting everything squared away.
Confect is perfect for high-SKU stores that are running at least $1k/month in retargeting ad/dynamic ad campaigns. Confect is better for high-volume, high-traffic stores. Confect is better for stores with higher average order value and higher cost per acquisitions, that they want to lower.
Confect is great for agencies doing a lot of content creation. They’re great for seasonal brands and brands that do a lot of discounts, sales, or are constantly changing out creative.
If you aren’t running any retargeting ads or dynamic product ads, you don’t need Confect. If you have only a few SKUs or manage your SKU imagery on your own, you may not need Confect. If you don’t have enough traffic to warrant testing of your image creative, you may not need Confect.
