All about
Advanced Commerce is a search and personalization merchandising platform that helps merchants better showcase and sell products. They use a merchandising blend to figure out which types of products to show customers based on which goals you have in the company. For example, if you want to boost Average Order Value (AOV), you may show more expensive products.
They have all the usual placement options: Collection pages, product detail pages, frequently bought together, things you may also like, the on-site search bar, and also voice search.
What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
Advanced Commerce is designed for speed and ultimate control by retailers.
I love that their search algorithm automatically picks up colors, sizes, and prices to change your typed search into actual filters (such as filtering for anything that is under $20 if you put in the term “cheap.”)
They have voice search capabilities, which not a lot of other competitors in this space are doing.
They may also be the fastest loading search and personalization platform I’ve ever seen. I haven’t tested it vs others, but from what I saw in the demo, it loads nearly instantly.
With Advanced Commerce, you have ultimate control in increasing the metrics that are most important to you and the company for that day/week/month. If you want to increase Average Order Value (AOV), you can set the merchandising strategy to optimize for higher AOV. If you want to sell out of expiring products, you can do that. If you want to increase conversion rate, you can optimize for that. If you want to optimize for margin, or profit, you can easily create a merchandising blend and strategy and start optimizing for that.
Typically it is the person in charge of merchandising for the brand that is going to run this tool, but it could also be the head of marketing, someone in charge of conversion rate optimization, or even someone in charge of inventory management. It should typically be the person best in tune with the customer and the segments and products that are going to sell under various conditions.
For Shopify merchants, you can be live in minutes with their direct integration. If you’re looking to launch using their Headless Commerce functionality, it could take 2-4 weeks coordinating with your developers, etc. to go live.
Their team will train your merchandisers to use the platform and get the most value out of it.
The first qualifier is SKU count. Advanced Commerce is for merchants with at least 50 SKUs who are looking to better merchandise.
This tool is best for brands with a lot of turnover of product, trending fashion brands for example. Also for merchandisers who have a deep understanding of their consumers and can think about how they want to shop around and buy things online.
